PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
TACKLING SOCIAL EXCLUSION AMONG THE YOUTHS
PLACE’s consortium believes in investing in young people to support community development, and recognizes the relevance of youth work to mitigate social exclusion among young people. We also believe that mobility can promote a multi-level capacity building process among all involved actors.
PLACE aims at strengthening the role of youth work in the development of inclusive and healthy societies by:
innovative use of urban gardening;
enhancing cooperation between Programme and Partner countries to improve youth work;
developing new tools through the creation of an open educational resource (OER) on how to use urban garden in youth work.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
INNOVATIVE USE OF URBAN GARDENING IN YOUTH WORK
Two main activities will be the International training course in Palermo (Italy) in September 2015 to give new personal and professional skills to be used by participating and supporting EVS volunteers in activities in their local communities, and the European Voluntary Services in all partner countries, from March – July 2016.
