PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
CHANGE WITH THE HELP OF EQUALITY
The project tackles the challenge of one of the basic social principles – integration of the gender equality principle. We are the leading partner and collaborate with five organisations from Italy, the Netherlands, Kenya, Cameroon and Tanzania, all striving to improve the communication competences of young women and implement new knowledge in the local environments, with the goal of greater empowerment and a more active social participation of women.
PROMOTING THE INTEGRATION OF THE GENDER EQUALITY PRINCIPLE
We perform an international training for female youth workers, about the creative and innovative use of communication tools with an emphasis on multimedia and the written word. Innovative and creative workshops (Loesje Creative Writing, ‘Active Cafe’) aim at empowering a group of young women for a more active social participation, which exceeds stereotypical roles and uses socially-responsible forms of communication. The campaign aims at helping the public become more sensitive about issues concerning accepting racial, gender and class differences, while the conference is intended to connect professionals of the non-governmental sector and decision-makers at a national level, and to integrate a modern and intersectional perspective of solving complex inequality.
