REINTERPRET AND TRANSFORM CITIES THROUGH DIGITAL ARTS, MULTIMEDIA AND INTERACTIVITY
In\VisibleCities explore the ties and relations between visible and invisible cities: to perceive the places, buildings and courtyards not only as physical places; but to reflect about the imagination; to explore facets of cities that are apparently not visible to the bare eye; to intervene through art and multimedia in physical spaces, making them active elements capable of telling stories; and furthermore to imagine and create ideas about future cities from an urban, social and creative point of view.

FESTIVAL, WORKSHOPS, EXIBITIONS, PERFORMANCES, INSTALATIONS
Through the potentials offered by multimedia and interactivity, the project aims to reflect on cities, their spaces, their social dynamics and emotive that characterize them. An artistic residency and a five day workshop, encounters, live performances, plays and installations will capture the heart of the urban texture through a combination of digital arts and multimedia languages. Some events and performances will reach beyond the borders of Gorizia, involving also the city of Trieste as well as the Slovenian cities Nova Gorica and Miren-Costanjevica. The cross-border dimension will permit an artistic connection as well as an artistic confrontation with other European realities. In this context, an international commission will reward the best works of every category in competition. These works afterwards will be presented in five European locations during the international spin-offs of the Festival: London (UK), Nijmegen (NL), Ljubljana (SI), Koper (SI), Pula (HR).
