PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
ASSESSMENT AND VALIDATION OF COMPETENCES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
The project aims to encourage adult participation in learning by creating and developing a method and web tool (Learning Map) that will enhance the skills and competences of educators and learners in general, with a special focus on adult learners with fewer opportunities. Learning Map will enable a visual method for their presentations and at the same time offer recognition by other peers, public bodies and organizations. This tool will also allow them to tackle inclusive education, training and youth by empowering its use across different fields of education and to recognize the skills, knowledge and attitudes acquired in learning in informal, non-formal and formal ways.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
WEB BASED TOOL, SUPPORTING ADULT LEARNERS IN THEIR LEARNING PATHWAYS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Transnational project meetings: Planning, networking, exchanging experiences for developing the method and tool (Learning Map).
Intellectual output: Development of a method and tool to track, monitor, evaluate and recognize the learning and competences of education and youth staff, as well as the learners.
The method will consist of:
Using Open Badges to complement the method
Defining areas of learning such as science, arts, personal development and others
Being transversal to any learning method (formal, non-formal and informal)
Developing in the method digital format with the possibility of complementing tangible materials such as a printed CV
Integrating and complementing other methods of monitoring and certification of competences, such as the Europass, Europass Mobility Document and YouthPass
Local activities: Testing and implementing the developed method. Evaluation and feedback.
Multiplier events: Presentation, visibility and dissemination of the developed method in the form of regional/national roundtables, seminars or conferences involving local or national educational providers and other stakeholders.
TANGIBLE RESULTS:
Learning Map web based tool
Methodological guidelines for facilitating the understanding and overall use of the Learning Map method
Promotional videos
Website for project management and dissemination purposes
