PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
INVOLVING YOUTH IN REALIZING THE 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS GLOBALLY
Youth in Action for the Sustainable Development Goals is an international project with collaboration of 9 country partner organizations. Its goal is to promote and support youth participation in the contribution for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. With the financial support from European Commission, 9 partner organizations from Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Greece, France, Nepal, Philippines, Nepal and Vietnam will be elaborating on a collaboration hub to encourage youth initiatives to solve social issues in accordance with 17 SDGs.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
YOUTH INVOLVEMENT IN ACHIEVING SDGS
Kick – off meeting in Slovenia (May 2016)
To: build capacity in project management; elaborate Work Breakdown Structure; design a working plan.
The Innovation Competition (May 2016)
To: encourage and support youth initiative in the field of the global biggest needs. The competition is open for innovative projects created by young people (between 18-30 years old), citizens of one of the participating countries that are promoting one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals promoted by United Nations.
Training Course for YW “EntreprenEUrship shapes the future” (Julij 2016, Romania)
To: foster capacity building; provide participants with knowledge on SDG and empower participants through concrete training contents and approaches, while sharpening and developing participant’s initiatives to be implemented during piloting phase.
Implementation of piloting activity in each local community (August and September 2016)
After the training course, participants will return to their countries and start to implement their developed initiative within local community.
Evaluation meeting (October 2016)
To: evaluate, report and exchange learning outcomes during the project and to create a document »Guidebook to YiA4SDGs«
